Aiseesoft Screen Recorder provides an easy way to record video directly from your computer screen or webcam. Moreover, it can also capture audio from the system or a microphone. The application has a very attractive interface, which is also very intuitive. To make things even easier, there's a welcome screen that allows you to choose between two modes: screen recorder and audio recorder.
In screen recorder mode, you should first select a source, which can be either the screen or a camera. In case you decide to record from the screen, you can also choose to grab the whole screen or just a part of it. Luckily, there are various dimension presets to choose from. On the other hand, if you want to record from a camera, you can also have a camera feed window floating on the desktop. This mode lets you record audio as well, so you should also configure an audio source. In turn, configuring the audio recorder mode is even easier, because you only need to decide whether you want to receive input from the system audio or a microphone.
It’s a pity this tool doesn't support many output formats. In fact, it only allows using two video formats. However, it permits personalizing some features, as quality and frame rate. Although recordings can be set to stop automatically after a given period of time, the tool doesn't let you schedule this type of tasks.
All in all, Aiseesoft Screen Recorder comes in handy when you need to record streaming video that cannot be downloaded as a separate file. It's also useful for designing tutorial lessons or capturing a game session. Fortunately, it works just as expected. However, it's my job to advise you to try a few of the many similar tools available before you make a decision.
